Visiting Research Fellows, 1996-1997, IPTME, Louborough University, UK; Senior Visiting Scientist, 2002, Max-Planck Institute of Colloid and Interface, Germany. National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Investigators, 2005, China. His research interests includemultiphase polymer materials, polymer nanocomposites, and polymer recycling and carbonization. He has published 250 papers and issued 50 patents.
