Oguz Bayraktar (MSc, Ph.D.) received his MSc. and Ph.D. degrees in Chemical Engineering from West Virginia University, USA. He worked as a faculty member in İzmir Institute of Technology between 2001-2014. Then etween 2014-2020, he worked as a faculty member at the Department of Chemical Engineering in Ege University. Now, he has been working as a professor at the Department of Bioengineering in Ege University. In 2006, he has established a spin-off company at İzmir Technology Development Zone. After company was successfully commercialized, he handed over his shares. Recently he has established another R&D company at Ege University Technology Development Zone. His research interests include: biopolymers, bioactivities of natural compounds derived from plants, drug delivery systems, and nanotechnology.
