Prof. Dr. Nurdan BUYUKKAMACI graduated from Department of Environmental Engineering, Dokuz Eylul University (DEU), TURKEY, at 1992. She has a doctoral degree from the same department. She has been working at Department of Environmental Engineering, Dokuz Eylul University since 1994. She had worked at a Leather Factory as a manager of wastewater treatment plant for one year, before she started to work at the university. She is a full time professor in the Department of Environmental Engineering. Her main research areas are domestic and industrial wastewater management, wastewater reuse, life cycle assessment, anaerobic treatment, sludge management and disposal. She has several national and international publications. She also participated in several national and international symposium, workshop, congress, etc., as a speaker and participant. Furthermore, she studied various research projects, which were Scientific Research Projects of Dokuz Eylul University and projects of the Scientific and Technical Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK), as a coordinator and a researcher. She knows English as a foreign language. She is married with two children
